I've been in and around the Northeastern Pennsylvania music scene for about 20 years. I started off in my senoir year
high school playing bass and singing backup vocals with a band called Arion. We played around the area for about 4 years (1984-1988)
mostly playing hard rock and original music. That's where I got my first opportunity at writing and recording.
Over the years I went from band to band not really getting anyhwere until 1995 when I hooked up with Phantasm. They played
covers to get into clubs but they did write and record some great originals plus they also had a good sense for the business.
I learned a lot from this band plus a lot of the style in my writing came from these guys.
When Phantasm ended in 1999, I started to concentrate on writing more, but I had that itch to play out once again. In
2000 I hooked up with a band called Time to Think. They only played covers but I started to learn more about how to promote
and how to do bookings. It was around this time that I started to learn about recording and promoting music on the internet.
After a few member changes and a name change to 8 balls minus 2, the band folded in 2004.
During my time with 8 balls minus 2, I wrote and recorded 3 Cd's in my side project known as Jjc. I promoted them
over the internet to various music sites and internet radio shows and they got a good response. I did get a band together
as Jjc and we played a show down in Hershey PA. However creative differences and scheduling conflicts made it very difficult
to continue with Jjc.
So now it's 2005. I've dropped the Jjc moniker and decided to use my own name. As of right now I'm writing and recording
for a new Cd, I'm available as a bass player, rhythm guitarist who can also sing lead and backups. I'll play anything except
country or polkas but preffer newer rock and 80's music (see influences below).
